Back in 2000, my first time hearing ‘beau mot plage’ by Isolee on a huge sound system was at one of Timmy Regisford’s famed Shelter events in Manhattan. I vividly recall the euphoria that washed over my body as notes from that song pulsated through the iconic Richard Long sound system. I absolutely NEEDED to know the name of that record, so like the crazed house fan that I am, I wiggled my way through the sea of sweaty bodies until I reached the DJ booth. Kenny Summit was finishing his opening set and I could see him wrapping up his headphones and Timmy was getting ready to start his set, they were talking and I didn’t want to interrupt so I waited patiently outside of the DJ booth for a good 25 minutes. Finally, Kenny emerged from the DJ booth and I ran up to him to inquire about “that jazzy record”... to my surprise, Kenny reached into his DJ bag and handed me the 12 inch! “FOR ME!?!? You gotta be kidding me!” I said. “Good music is to be shared, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do,” Ken replied. And so my love for jazzy fusion house began.

It’s funny how some records can hit a chord in your heart and listening to them years later can trigger memories of good times past. This new jam from Jo Paciello gives me those same feelz... High-quality jazz fusion arranged in a manner to tickle the ears of modern day house enthusiasts. And to make this release even better, there is a stunning stripped-down raw re-rub from LGBTQ sensation Dat Bish Jane and a thumpin version by Italian jackin maestro Angelo Ferreri, two remixes we’ll be hearing for years to come.
